Hi Cerulean. Just want to let you know, mine came with a pretty much very tarnish safety chain. I use a polishing cloth and went to town with it thinking I can replace the safety chain if I ruin it. It turns out super bright and shiny. So it looks like what Bron said, you can just polish the heck out of it.
