Hi everyone,

Most of you are familiar with the champaigne setting from whiteflash found here http://whiteflash.com/Engagement-Rings/Styles/Diamond-Settings/Petite--Champaigne--Pave-by-WF_1120.htm

I am wondering if this ring, when made in white gold, would be able to be re plated with the rhodium down the road if needed. I''m not sure what goes into the entire process of re-plating a white gold ring and I thought that the unique layout of the side diamonds may pose an issue here.

Can somebody help me out? Thanks!

Absolutely no problems. The diamonds in the band would not be affected at all and does not need to be removed.

Like silver plating, chrome plating, etc., rhodium plating is done in a bath using positive and negative electrical current. They will steam clean your ring and hang it on a hook. It goes into a solution of rhodium. The ring will be electrically charged one way, the solution the other and the rhodium molecules will adhere to the gold and plate the piece. In a short time this can be done, and the ring can be cleaned and polished and back in your hands. Hope this helps ease your fears.

The plating will only adhere to the metal, so the diamonds remain untouched.
