I love this ring, but sometimes I feel that it looks too much like a solitaire and that it competes with my engagement ring.
I would like opinions as to whether it looks like a solitaire or whether it fits the definition of a right hand ring. I already know that ultimately it is my choice and my opinion that matters and that if I love it, I should wear it. But I also know that sometimes we wear things that we love, but that do not do us favors....so hence the question. dscn1164_0.jpg

Can you also post a pick of your eRing as well, so we can compare???

I think it could work fine as a RHR, but I'd just like to see your eRing to be sure it is not competing.... :))

This is what I thought... I do like the ring though! :))

This is my engagement ring.

oh definitely, the new ring is no competition for your ering - go for it!! "Add to cart"!!

I think it would be a great RHR.

It's gorgeous and a wonderful compliment to your ering!

Definitely. But they again even if it looked like a solitaire I'd still be for it!

IS THERE A THREAD ON THIS?!

If you feel comfortable, I say rock them both. They're beautiful!

I voted no, but not because it looks like a solitaire.
A solitaire ring has one solitary diamond.
I voted no because to me it looks like an engagement or wedding ring.

But who cares what anyone thinks?
If you like it as a right-hand ring, go for it!

Ditto! Hot dang!

I'm not a fan of rings that aren't e-rings/wedding rings, but still look like them (and that one does in my opinion). However, the ring is very pretty and if you love it, you should wear it if it makes you happy. Certainly no one would spite you for wanting to wear a gorgeous ring.

I don't think it looks like a solitaire at all but I have a thing about not wearing two diamond rings at the same time jnless o e is a colored diamond. I like a colored stone for the right hand and diamond ering on left. But hey its gorgeous and I say rock it if you love it. Your ering is gorgeous btw.

haha i am quite the opposite! I love a diamond ring on each hand.

I tend to agree with Christina. I prefer to wear one ering on my left hand only and as a teacher feel it might be too much to wear a large diamond on both hands. Although, I do at times wear my mom's small ering (1/3 ct) ring on my right hand as it is small and doesn't compete with my ering.

But I say wear what makes you happy. I personally would feel self-conscious.

I think it looks quite suitable for a RHR.

Both my mother and I wear a showy diamond on each hand, just one ring per hand, for evening or dress-up occasions. My daily-wear diamond is a .8ct because I live in a small town and also because it's just the right size to not be bulky or get in the way when I am crawling around hooking up cables and such. lol.

A right hand ring is a ring you wear on your right hand. Do you wear it on your right hand? Yes? Then it is a right hand ring.

Even if it was a solitaire... who cares? I don't like solitaires as much, so my engagement ring is NOT a solitaire, but I have solitaires I wear on my right hand. It's not like anyone is confused or that I may be preventing someone from understanding that I'm single and thus asking me out (since I'm married, definitely not at the top of my concerns).

haha that is what I think too.. they're both beautiful! What if you got it sized up to wear on the middle finger of your right hand instead of your ring finger? I wear my dad's wedding band on my RH middle finger and I love it there. Its clearly a man's ring, but when people ask about it, it's always clear that it is a sentimental ring because it's on the middle finger. Does that make sense?

+1
My e ring looks more like a rhr and my rhr looks like traditional engagement ring.

Thanks all for your replies! I am wearing it more as a rhr these days because I don't want it sitting around in my jewelry box. When I get really extreme, I stack it like this (which probably deserves its own thread on extreme stacking!)
