Can these prongs be shaved down or split?

I'm not crazy about the width. I do like tab prongs but I think these are too bulky and too high. I'd like to know if its possible to modify them. Ideas welcomed!

I'm not a bench, but I think those would be difficult and expensive to modify due to the pave in the prongs. Overall... it's not attractive enough to me to work on those.

Because they have the pave I doubt you could shave them down more than a little.

If they were plain you might be able to but I doubt it with pave stones set in them

The top of the tabs may be able to be narrowed a little, but with the diamonds on the outer prong arms you're limited to what can be done without compromising their stability.
