Can someone please help me with these two stones? Thank you!

Re: Can someone please help me with these two stones? Thank

#1 - HCA = 0.9, but is a "60/60" stone https://www.pricescope.com/wiki/diamonds/60-60-proportioned-diamond It will likely have proportionally higher white light return and lower colored light return than a more traditionally proportioned rb like #2

#2 - HCA = 1.8, closer to a traditionally cut rb proportions

Both score well on the HCA and are worth further consideration. Neither clarity is anything to worry about - they will be eye clean and have no durability issues. In fact I think VVS clarity is overkill - the sparkle comes from the cut, not the color or clarity, yet there is a marked jump in price for every clarity grade increase. You are literally paying for something you can't see. My personal sweet spot is a VS or eye-clean SI1 - you can save money this way and put it toward an increase in carat size, which is something you will see.

Thank you so much, ecf8503. I took your advice and lowered to vs2 and found another one much cheaper. Same 1.52 C but only around 10k. Can you take a look on this one? Should I be concerned about the fluorescence (very strong blue). Thanks again!

You are definitely saving money by dropping in clarity. I don't see anything glaring clarity-wise in the GIA cert. However, not all people are fans of the very strong fluorescence which the $10k stone has. You may want to read up on very strong fluorescence and also ask blue nile if there is any haziness to the stone. I, myself, have a strong blue fluorescence and it took a bit getting used to. I previously had a diamond that was medium blue fluorescence and I never saw fluorescence. Just something to consider...

Re: Can someone please help me with these two stones? Thank

It's good - scores a 1.5 on the HCA. But it is a true 60/60 (higher white light and less colored light return) - which may appeal to you. It's all personal preference - I have a 60/60 and a more traditionally cut rb, and I prefer the higher amount of colored light (rainbows) balanced with white light.

Fluor is fine 99% of the time. The instances of fluor actually causing oiliness or milkiness is very rare, and only happens under UV light (sunlight or blacklights). I have a D color w strong blue fluor, and personally I love it. BUT - with very strong blue I'd be sure to ask BN to look at it for you first.

What setting are you looking at?

Thank you, ecf8503. Here is the setting I liked. Is it good for this stone?

Thank you, upgrade-me. Your info is very helpful. Never know can ask BN to check the the haziness.

Thank you, Dancing Fire. :-) I'll call BN to ask. What question I should ask them? Something like is this stone appear haziness?

They should be familiar with the potential for strongly fluor stones to have this effect - just ask them if there is any apparent milkiness / haziness / oiliness under UV / sunlight.
