I saw that, but it's locked, so not sure how to get it "unsmooshed"

Your avatar looks great now!
Somewhere buried in the "unsmooshing" thread it advised to crop your picture so that the resulting one had the same vertical and horizontal dimensions (number of pixels).

I used a different pic and made the length and width the same, so it looks better. Yay!
