I saw the fabulous recent thread where someone used photoshop to create loads of ring options. I am hoping someone could help me as well. I recently purchased a 3.04 carat radiant. The dimensions are 6.48 x 7.89 x 5.47. The length to width ration is 1.07. Could someone "create" a ring for me, using this squarish diamond and flank it with "elongated'' trapezoids. (My description of an elongated trap is that is looks like a trillion with the tip cut off. I have seen several like this in Diamonds by Lauren.) The ring will then have 3 sided pave, like the Michael B rings, but my main concern is how the square diamond will look flanked by trapezoids. (I love this look with a rectangle radiant, and need to know how it will look with a square radiant). thanks SO much. Joy

Is this a colored stone? That''s very deep - and are you sure you have those dimensions correct? Because not only would the spread be so tiny for 3 carats, these dimensions are not a 1.07 but a 1.22 ratio.

Agreed. I shopped radiants for a while, and these numbers look "off". That would be an itty-bitty 3ct...

You are both correct, I made a typo when I typed in the dimensions. What I intended to type is 8.48 x 7.89x 5.47. This is a 1.07 ratio. (The depth is 69.3% and the table is 69%). I do not have a picture of the stone. It is 3.04 carat, I color, SI1 GIA certified. I had it appraised last week. The appraiser was shocked that it wasn''t classified as a VS2. The stone has more fire then all the others I have looked at. It doesn''t have a bow tie, or any dead spots, like most of the others which I have seen. It does not appear to face up as large as some of the rectangles I have seen, and I am minimally concerned about this. But, I think I am willing to trade off for the fire the ring has.

There''s a square vivid yellow radiant with trapezoids on the Diamonds by lauren website, which I will post here. I hope that I am allowed to do that. If someone could photoshop this with a square white radiant, I would be so happy.

I like this one from Leon Mege, but it has an asscher, not a radiant.

Thank you so much for your help. Joy

The Leon is a Radiant, so that should give you an idea-- I think that if you like the rectangle+traps, you will like it with a square as well... just shorten up the traps to keep the proportions the same.

I just love the Leon design....sublime. And like you, I''m a slave to the fire! Can''t wait to see what the Photoshop experts can do for you.

This Mege is a radiant, not an asscher. It''s seven carats though ... but I agree with the previous poster that if you like this ring you''ll probably like a more elongated radiant in a similar setting also.
