So I love my new setting. I bought it off eBay preowned. Love the finger coverage! Now to my question. It has diamonds everywhere on the basket. Does that mean it's dangerous to stack it? Even with a plain band? Here are some pictures.
Wow! Blingy!! I think it's safe to stack as long as the band immediately next to the pavé is one you don't mind if it gets chewed up and doesn't have anything like diamonds in it. A sacrificial band if you like. I've seen knife edge bands used to good effect to fill that role so they're minimally intrusive visually but still do the necessary protection.
Very pretty, I bet that is blinding (and the very best way) in great lighting! I'd say a plain band is no problem... it will take the wear instead of your Vanna K which is preferable. So like foxinsox said, as long as it's a band you aren't attached to and so expensive you that you mind, you should be good to go. You may need to polish it more often if you want to keep it looking fresh, but that's a small price to pay to have your cake and eat it too.
I wouldn't pair a ring with diamonds. Maybe channel set, but still, I think it looks too risky. One or the other has a high chance of causing damage to the diamonds on the other.
