Can I put larger stone in my ring?

This is my engagement ring and I would lov to put a bigger and better pink sapphire in it before the wedding. Is it possible?

I think the setting would make it impossible to re-set a larger stone - although some half-bezel designs only affect the length of a stone, or only the width of a stone, your setting's half-bezels curve to fit both the length and the width of the sapphire, so any replacement stone would have to have similar dimensions.
