can I change the shank?

I have a question for anyone who might know. Can I change the shank on my ring? I have a prong set halo and the shank is a double row knife edge of pave. I was wondering if I could change the shank to a single row of pave. Anyone ever do this or know if it is possible??

oooh you think?? That is encouraging news how would it be done ? Just cut this shank off and solder a new one on? Where would I find just a shank??
