Hi everyone

I am getting ready to decide between 2 different eternity bands... both are channel set with different mm''s.
One is a RB and the other is a Baguette. I didn''t think I could afford anything in a step cut for this project and when I found out the price was comparable I looked like this:

step cuts in bands so it seems like a no brainer but I am worried about the mm size in the Baguette Eternity. I never thought I would say this, but is 6mm TOO thick for a ladies band?
The RB eternity is just a hair over 2.3ct and right at 4.8mm, the Baguette is right at 2.5ct and a blingtastic 5.9mm!!!

FYI this is a RHR (size 5.5), and the bigger the better is usually the case with me and my sparklies....

Can anyone show me some 6mm bands and tell me their ring size so I have a better visualization other than the one time it was on my hand?

My band is 6mm. I stack it with 2 other bands and wear it in place of my engagement ring sometimes.
My ring size is 4.5

Does anyone else have a ring with a 6mm thickness? How about just a band, and not worry about whether or not its an eternity! Thanks everyone.

I just wanted to say that Your rings are gorgeous! Do they have a thread of their own?

TBjumper, I'm sorry, I don't have any pictures of 5-6 mm bands, but that baguette band sure sounds beautiful!

I never started a thread for this ring. I have a lot of eternity bands. This is the only one I wear on my left hand though. When I get a minute I will post them together.

TBjumper,

This is a 6mm 3.5 ct eternity, stacked with a skinny 1.2 ct on a size 4. Hope this helps.

My photos aren''t the greatest, but I get the sense you are looking for scale and dimension on a ring size, and I think this pic illustrates that

My 6mm on size 4 keeps fingers spread for sure, but it is totally comfortable. As you can see from this photo, pinky is separated from ring finger, but it is very comfortable. BTW, rounds sparkle and I get lots of compliments when in restaurants on this one.

Gardengloves!!!! Thank you!!! You are right I am trying to get an idea of scale, and your pictures help a ton.

Thank you so much for posting. I love the RB look as well, but I really prefer the Baguettes in a channel. I think as long as I am ok with the thickness of the ring, I am going to go with the step cut. After thinking about it more the RB in the channel setting may drive me batty with the little spaces

. If I was looking at shared prong your ring and iluvcarats ring would be inspiration rings for sure.

Thanks again everyone!
