Something a little smaller than the SI ultrasonic people seem to get? It''s only been 2 days, and the surface of my ring is totally smudged. My polishing cloth is useless unfortunately!

I would just soak for a few minutes in water with a little dishwashing liquid or even shampoo--not the kind with conditioner--and then brush with a small, soft toothbrush, rinse well, and dry with a paper towel.

hehe i know cleaning by hand for me when i travel only works for very short trips, i would need to take my US with me for longer trips. interested to hear if there is a smaller travel one that could work.

a little bottle of dish soap or the travel bottles of plain shampoo and your toothbrush.

Is Windex safe? I''ve always used that mixed in water, and it works for me!

I have a small screw lid jar - I think it previously held diamond cleaner in it - that I fill about half way with ammonia, couple drops of Dawn dishwashing liquid, and the rest water. Shake well - VOILA! Jewelry cleaner for the road! Keep a small soft brush and at least you can get the gunk off everyday.

These are all good suggestions. The SI UC is pretty small; it''d be easy to travel with. I also have Miracle Clean, which I bought on HSN. They have little jars (or they used to sell it) that you can bring with you when you travel. You just soak in there, then scrub with a toothbrush and rinse.

I bring along Brilliant Jewelry Cleaner and a soft toothbrush. The cleaner is in a purse-sized spray bottle and does just the trick when I''m away.
