Hi Everyone

I am a complete newbie and in the midst of making one of the biggest purchases ever- I found a seemingly great diamond but I would like to see what it would look like in different types of light. Can anyone help me out by posting some pictures of your H color with fluorescence in various settings. This particular stone that I am about to purchase is 1.70 is ideal cut H with strong blue (the word "strong" sort of irks me)... I want a white diamond, I wouldn''t mind if it was very pale blue color from time to time but most of the time I would want a white one. James Allen is sending an idealscope of the diamond and btw for anyone reading looking for a superfantastic vendor, I can recommend them although have not pulled the trigger as of yet. Here are the specs on the diamond if you need them in this other thread. https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/is-this-1-7-gia-eye-clean-si1-h-with-strong-blue-beautiful.140650/

I figured the H color with the strong fluorescence might get me something white, unique and pretty.... thoughts? Even better, pics?

I just thought I''d mention that you can''t judge diamond color from pics.
There are many things that affect the color you end up seeing on your monitor that have nothing to do with the diamond itself.

I recommend you try to find stones to look at in person.

I don''t have a picture and agree with the above that a picture wouldn''t really capture color/flor. I do have an EX 2.03 RB, GIA H, SI1 Strong Blue diamond and I LOVE it!

It does get a violet hue, but only in very direct sunlight. Otherwise, I have found outside that it looks very white, very icy, sometimes with a hit of blue-white which I think is really stunning. 99% of the time there is no noticeable impact of the flor.

I have a 1.1ct H eyeclean SI pendant with strong blue fl purchased from Blue Nile. I would say in indoor lighting the pale blue tint does not show up at all. Only in direct sunlight will I see hints of pale blue. I purchased mine in early 2008 after I was searching for ideas on bezel pendants and saw the thread I'm attaching. I love it and get nothing but raves about it. Hope it helps but in real life I would say it's more pale blue tint and only in direct sunlight. Other than that it white and sparkly:-)

Thanks for the comments and the photos so far. It would be interesting to see more pics of this blue fluoresence phenomenon. I find it unique. Any info or additional pics would be great just to see the variation of different lighting conditions when observing the same diamond... even if the one that I am considering may look different than others.... :)

OK, here are a couple pics, sorry taken with my iPhone. The 1st is in my office (think the blue is reflection of computer screen. 2nd is at home under a lamp. hope this helps!
