These are amulets representing monks in Buddhist practice, South East Asia region and the metals used are either 22/23k gold or brass.

Do you know what is written on it? How would I know the metal content?

Little late.....Curious...did you ever find out what it is?
Brass , you'd get patina. But showing enough yellow for 22K.
The plastic is throwing me off. Weight?

No I didn't. I would hope someone who can read Asian alphabets would be in this forum to translate what is written on it. I will weigh it and post it shortly.
