You''ll find most people hesitant to quote values from a picture, and most appraisers hesitant to comment on the value of a stone they haven''t seen personally, especially an opal. Opals are one of the few gemstones which appear to be "alive", and can look vastly different in person than they do in a photo.

If you post the asking price, you might get some people commenting whether it seems high, low or fair, but probably not much beyond that.
