Can any one tell me anythinv about this ring?

I just found this ring in family jewelry. It is silver and has some faces on it. Can any one tell me the origin and any other info about it?

The face looks like a Roman gorgon design, but the sides seem to have some Celtic influence. Was the family member who originally owned this ring a traveler?

Not really a traveller. We live in republic of Georgia which in that time was part of the soviet union. Products easily got from one part of the union to another.
