I was searching on ebay yesterday and came across a diamond ring from 1943. I purchased it. Won the bid pretty cheap.
Here is the link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=8927999354&rd=1&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWN%3AIT&rd=1
The band is worn thin and I plan to remove the diamond and put it in a different setting. What Im wondering,
is how did they cut diamonds in 1943? I know they wouldnt have the presision near what they have today, but for the color and clarity I took the chance. (They also offer money back garuentee)
Is there a certain style they they used for thier modern cuts back then? Thanks
