Can 4mm diamonds be placed in these 3.6 mm holes?

I've been looking for an antique setting for 3 diamonds I want to repurpose.

I like this setting, but the holes are 3.6 mm. Can a jeweler/designer make the 4mm stones fit? I attached a pic.


there also seems to be a sapphire missing on the left, how difficult would it be to get a new one to fit in there?

what I would recommend is find a jeweler that you are going to work with, send them a picture of the setting and ssee what they say. Does the seller have a good return policy in case it doesn't work out?

I've sent a picture to my jeweler once on an eternity band bezel diamonds that I was considering buying and wait to make sure it was doable before I bought the piece, and he said he could do it, which he did.
