I was just wondering how you two lovely ladies are getting on with your WF Halo/bezel settings. I was wondering how durable they have been, and also if you wear them most of the time.

Thank you!

It is a very pretty ring Maisie; are you thinking of doing a halo?

I am definitely doing a halo

LOVEEEEEEEE!!!!! Mine. I absolutely wear mine all the time. When I was testing the prototype for them, Brian made me do all sorts of things with this ring on than I ever would have done. I was appalled! I would think I CAN''T. whine, whimper, and then I would bite the bullet and do it. It worked out. Because of the testing that Brian had me do, I have never wondered if my setting would hold up. I don''t do dishes or yard work or wear it in the shower because of obvious reasons, but most everything else is a go. I usually don''t cook in it again for gook in the melee reasons.

I am not a steering wheel clutcher, so getting bent on that is not a problem.

Maisie, the main reason we had to be sure before the halo in plat became a stock setting was because of the thinness of the band. I don''t think that would be a problem with a thicker band. Brian and others in the design team at WF feel that a 2mm diamond band is pushing it in plat and is as thin as they are willing to go. The halo itself is very durable as it is set very low to my hand. I can even wear gloves over it in the winter.

Hmm. Shay, are you saying you''ve been hard on your halo?

Merely saying that they are not as fragile as they look. They are not for the working in the rock pile though.

Thank you Shay. That is exactly what I wanted to hear! I am desperate for a halo - I don''t know if you recall me asking questions about it a few months ago. As I have found my forever diamond, I need to make it look as blinging as possible! DSS is a terrible thing and a halo will really help!

Hey Maisie,

Sorry I did''nt see this sooner, but I wanted to let you know that my halo is still in perfect shape. I took it in to get it cleaned and polished at WF the week before last and they said everything is still perfect. I love my ring more and more every day :)

I get compliments on it at work at least 3 or 4 times a day. Thanks WF!

hey curio, just curious, did WF clean your ring in an ultrasonic? since i very recently jumped into the pave owner pool, i was just wondering how they do it when you take it to them?

You know, I didn''t think to ask. They kept it for 24 hours. I remember JohnQ saying something about how they dip them in an ultrasonic to clean them, but I''m not sure if they recommend doing it at home. If you want, I can email Katie or Vera and find out exactly what Leon and his crew does. I have to get a hold of her anyway for my wedding bands..

I clean mine with hot water, a soft toothbrush and dishwashing liquid. I''ll leave it soaking in the sink while it fills up with hot water, then I take my brush to it very gently. I splash some deinonzed water on it to keep it from spotting (i''m a freak, I know) and it sparkles like mad when I''m done.

Thanks Curio! Its great to know that the ring is durable
