Oh. I completely understand the insanity.

Just because I am the biggest waffler/changer of her mind.....do you think the facet pattern is more important or size is more important? I only ask because you said you wanted to get as close to 3 cts and this one whilst gorgeous isn't much bigger than the one you have.

Hi JDDN, I see you are going through something similar So I've made the decision to set my 2.28 in sweetpea and baby corn's pre-loved casablanca setting, and sell my .93 in the same setting Killing two birds with one stone so to speak. The J is drop-dead gorgeous, but I can't justify the price for the same size diamond

I never said my other stone didn't make me happy, I just wanted something a little bigger and I really wanted to see a J as well. My stones are all K's and L's. But now that I see the stone, it's not noticeably bigger. I also have realized I am not a solitaire girl. I need a halo.

Sorry you're right you didn't say you're unhappy, but you're selling it and planned to replace it with a stone of negligible size difference, so i just took that as something someone would do who was unhappy with their stone.

There's nothing wrong with upgrading one size and staying a similar mm if that's what you want. But im just wondering if it really is.

My L has a more flowery pattern, the J more checkerboardy. It was good that I was able to compare them! I prefer the flowery pattern of mine.

Honestly, I should have just gone with the halo the first time. My 2.04 in my VC halo was plenty large enough. People would always ask me if it was 3 carats. I love a well-done halo!

Ah, well it's good that you were able to see the diamond and now you know that you prefer the flower facet pattern and the diamond won't be nagging at you in the back of your head, lol. That's awesome that you were able to find a preloved Casablanca . And there is always later for an upgrade if you still want one!!
