Who Calling Kaleigh.........

I am feeling much better about it. He told me so much about his new friend and he really sounds like a great guy. He also said this guy knows that he could never replace Wayne so that''s good to hear. I am excited to meet him on Friday and know that we will have fun. Wayne did ask me on his death bed to look after his partner and make sure that he goes on with his life. So this is just a new chapter for all of us and feel that Wayne would be happy for his partner. Thanks brightspot, you know exactly where I am coming from.

aww, kaleigh! I just wanted to say that I am glad you are coming to be at peace with the thought of the "new guy". I''m sure he is not a replacement, but just a way to move on and keep living life. I hope the meeting on Friday goes well and it not too awkard. I think it''s so sweet that he wants your "approval" though. Keep us updated on what happens!

as for Philly, it seems like just a few weeks ago we were mentioning that it seemed like there should be more people from the area on PS! and now I guess they have all arrived

I just got back from having dinner with Gil and his new friend John. I loved meeting John he is a sweet heart. I loved hearing all about him and his business and he was very interested to hear about me and my friendship with Bill. He got my A 1 approval rating and I look forward to getting to know him better. Too bad he's gay cause he is just gorgeous!!!!!! So it went really well and I am so happy for Gil.

I told them that Wayne would be very happy for them and that they had my blessing, not that they needed it but I think they were happy to have it anyway!!!!!

I just wanted to say that it was my friend Gil who was such a huge help today with Nan and Angello. I had referred to him as Bill earlier in this thread so as not to give his real name, but wanted to give him credit as credit was due. He was such a huge help to me and to Nan today and wanted in a way to thank him.

It is a great comfort to get his medical expertise weighed in here.
nothing like having a Neonatologist in your corner pocket!

Thanks Nan and good to know that he will follow Angello through his recovery. He is such a dear person and cares a great deal!!!!!

K when you guys all meet for a Philly get together, you will have to take lots of photos! We want to see your face since I don''t think you have put your picture up on here?!

Nan posted pics of me in her who''s who and also in my thread for Angello and her. Both pics were taken at the hospital when I went to visit them.

As many of you know I have a grandmother, Nanny whom I love and adore. She's in the hospital and could use all your positive thoughts, vibes, or prayers. I didn't want to start a whole new thread for this and thought to add my request here. She is 94 and means the world to me. PS has been such a great source of comfort to so many, myself included. I am so thankful I had Thanksgiving with her and didn't go away. It may well have been her last. I hope not.

Thanks, Lisa

Grandma''s are the best....I''m sorry she isn''t doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your grandma.

Oh Lisa- I''m so sorry this happened to her.
What a nightmare. You are such a sweet angel to her. I know she appreciates everything you do.
Try to get some rest tonight. Tomorrow is a new day.
I''m sure they are making her comfortable and doing their best; She''s a Spunky one!
She''ll keep them on their toes.

My prayers are with you too.

Oh, Lisa. I''m so sorry to hear this. I am sending you and your nanny tons of positive vibes and well wishes. I know how much she means to you.

Lisa, I''m sorry to hear about your grandma. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Kaleigh
sorry to hear this news about your grandma.hope she get well soon.

So sorry to hear this, Lisa. You''re both in my thoughts.

Sending out prayers and good thoughts for your grandma, Lisa. It''s so hard to have a sick grandparent. I''ve lost all 4 of mine in the last 10 years and now that I''m about to get married, it really makes me sad that they''re not here to be a part of it. I hope Nanny gets well soon and that you be able to share many more happy times with her.

Thank you all for the prayers and well wishes for my Nanny. She was discharged earlier today and is back in her room at the nursing home. She is very weak and tired but thrilled to be out of the hospital.

I am so frustrated. The nursing home is not on top of things and I am not asking for the moon here. Just want Nanny to recieve her breathing treatments on time not like a hour late, etc... Found out they skimped on her medication for her nebulizer, the lawyer is on it. I can''t move her to another faciilty right now, she is too weak. I go and do the treatments, but can''t keep this up for much longer. I have talked to the supervisors and they seem to pass the buck. It''s always someone else''s fault. My mother you ask, well she left for Florida for the winter on Saturday, she has never lifted a finger to help anyway. How can I get the nursing home get their SH*t in gear?? She has lived their for the past 8 years!! I have never had a problem until now??

Lisa...have you looked into the possibility of hiring a private nurse for her? Or is there some kind of ''visiting nurse service'' that could come in and do the meds? I have no idea how much that would cost, or if it''s covered by Medicare, etc... but I do know people sometimes do hire private nurses for their loved ones even if they are in nursing homes...at least until they''re stabilized..

At least it''s great news that she''s out of the hospital...(I think)

Hang in there, Dear!
