Gema, the steamress is incredible...she actually came to my wedding reception to bustle my dress for me, and hand beaded my gown while it was at the bridal salon. She also hand made my veil. Hair and makeup is a catch 22 for me. My job involves bridal hair and makeup to a certain degree (a pretty high degree, too) however in the spirit of confidentiality I don''t want to disclose the name. And, on the flip side, because it''s my job I know a bit about the other businesses in the Chicagoland area that offer on location bridal work and none of them really thrill me enough to recommend them. A good rule of thumb when hiring a mua or hair stylist is to get a trial done before booking--and ask to see a "look book" or "porfolio" of their past bridal work. Also, collecting different pictures of makeup and hairstyles you like will help limit miscommunications with your artist.
