Which Stuller ring version is your AVC set into? I can see it is the 4 prong with the bombe shank, but is it the low or medium height?

I have the same setting (also holding a beautiful AVC from GOG). I don''t know for sure, but i f I had to guess I would say medium.

According to this catalogue GOG solstice catalogue the low setting is only available for peg-head type settings - the other ones are available in medium and tall.

(provided that this catalogue is up to date)

I''d be willing to bet this is the medium. It doesn''t sit super high, and as you can see the culet is not visible from the side. The head seems like it is nestled down into the shank, which I like a lot, as it doesn''t look like a "head stuck on a shank". I really like it - and easy to keep the pavillion clean too! It''s a bargain for $300 or so it cost... nice workmanship, beautiful lines, etc - looks like a more expensive setting IMO.
