He gave me the option that if it can''t be graded in time, that he will sell it to me w/the lifetime garentee w/o the the GIA grade and at a lesser cost. However, he said he would much prefer to have it graded. I said I would like it graded if we have the time, but it can take 7-10 days for the GIA to grade the stone...and we only have 10 days until the wedding. So, we''ll see what happends! What do you think? I trust Jonathan and I would like it graded...but I''d much prefer my ring at my wedding!![]()

eeeeek that is cutting it CLOSE! I cannot imagine not having your e-ring at your wedding. Since it''s either trust him or no e-ring at wedding... I would have to put my trust in him.
I''ll keep my fingers and toes crossed for you too Redrose! I can''t wait to see your stoneDate: 5/13/2009 9:18:42 PM

I know right! The thing about it is...I really do trust jonathan. I''m sure he''d grade the stone (I mean...he is the one making all the videos about diamond education and color grading, etc) and I know he would grade it probably the same as the GIA, and so I''m not worried about it. I sent the package out priority mail...and I''m thinking I should have overnighted it! I guess I didnt think about the fact that GOG is CLOSED on mondays! EKK! I''ll call Jonathan tomorrow and make sure as soon as they get it they start work on the ring and have it hopefully started AND finished the SAME DAY! I need it shipped out by wed. at the latest, and if its then...overnighted! AHHH! I''m crazy for cutting this so close! But I really wanted my new stone so that way it was the ''real'' one! I dont know if I want to upgrade after this (its pretty close to my ideal size) and I''d really like this stone to be ''the one'' at the wedding...and not the one I traded in!![]()

Did Jon give you the specs of the stone? How close are these specs to your original request?

AJ,
I''m hoping the pricetag on the Angel setting won''t be as steep. If it''s reasonable, I''m getting it for my future OMC.

Almost the same price as Leon Mege''s double prong solitaire but LM''s underside (basket) is prettier. Maybe I''ll stick with my original plan and go with him.

Really? May I ask what Leons quote was? Its hard to believe that GOG would be almost the same price!

Leon doesn''t do WG but his PT setting is very close to GOG''s PT setting price. I guess when it comes to pave, the price increases exponentially due to the intensive labor involved.

Hey Steph,
I thought Jon wrote that you are getting the 1.63 ct L VS2 OMC in this new batch that is arriving possibly this Friday? It''s just the ratio you are looking for too, a 1.2 ratio.I''m getting the square 1.64 ct L SI1 OMC in this new batch. I already have plans to take advantage of the warmth to set it with a matching pair of red spinels and possibly have everything set in yellow gold. I can''t wait!![]()
Ummmm CHRONO that sounds like one incredible ring! Yum...Date: 6/2/2009 9:08:14 PM
