Calling all Philly/NJ PSers: GTG?

Do you guys want to do dinner instead of lunch then? Maybe an early dinner at around 5, 5:30, whatever? Those who want to check out Jeweler''s Row can come in early and do it before dinner, and we could all meet at the restaurant. Lynnie, if that would mean you could come, would you prefer that?
 
Jstar... I''d be down for that, but I don''t want to impede you guys if it''s easier for everyone else to do lunch/have an earlier day or whatever. If you still wanna do lunch, then check out jewelers row, maybe you could stop off at Marathon or somewhere for happy hour or something? I will be sleeping that day till around 4-ish. Can''t really be in CC till 5, at the earliest. Sounds like you lunch works for everyone, I don''t wanna mess up your plans!!
 
Which Marathon? It''s up to everyone - I could do lunch or dinner.

My only concern with dinner is that if things run a bit late, Lynnie might end up being late for work or not finishing her dinner! What do you all think?

We could do the lunch/shopping/happy hour thing and then Lynnie could come to the happy hour before work. That would be a whole afternoon affair...not sure what time investment you all wanted to make...
 
I think that sounds fine, but do you think we should do lunch a bit later so it takes up a bit less time? Maybe 1:00 for lunch instead of noon? It really doesn''t matter to me...FI is out of town and I don''t have any other plans. I kind of like this plan because it will also give us a couple different meet-up points in case anyone else can only come for part of the time.

Hey! Whatever you girls wanna do is fine with me... How bout this? Since I won''t be able to partake in the Jeweler''s Row festivities (although I would LOVE to), I''ll just plan to be *somewhere* at 5:30. Marathon at 10th and Walnut is good, or any other eatery in that area... there''s Moriarty''s, the Irish Pub. It''d be really easy, that way, for me because I could park in my work''s lot. The rest of you could do whatever beforehand. What do ya think?
 
The Marathon is a very open place with no privacy. People passing by on the street can look in the window and see all the customers. Would anyone feel awkward if other people in the restaurant or people passing by started gawking at the jewelry?

You should meet Nan she''s very close to Baltimore, and knows all the fun spots. I would be up for a Baltimore GTG.. We had one ages ago. I love Baltimore. But understand how you feel. Philly is awesome. I am back and forth this summer so won''t be free until the fall once DS gets settled in College...

My thought was that the jewelry ogling would mostly happen at Penang during lunch (a less open place, and the larger tables are all in the back). At Marathon I thought we''d just hang out and look at whatever jewelry we''re wearing without taking out any collections. But if anyone is uncomfortable with Marathon, we could go somewhere else. We could do gelato at Capo Giro (13th and Sansom) instead of drinks at Marathon or another bar...I''m really open to anything!

YAY! I sooo wish my lotus would be done in time, but it will have to wait for another GTG. It''s a present to myself for finishing Step 3, btw...I''m anticipating my score report to come in on Wed, 3 weeks after the test. You''ll just loooooove taking the Steps...NOT! Wish me dust (cuz there''s no point in rewarding myself with a lotus for failing)! MTG, please bring your lotus so I can see what I have in store! Not that I have to ask; I''m sure it''s on your to-bring list.

BTW, I''ve banned myself from buying jewelry until next year (as well as shoes and purses, but that''s another story). In the past few months I''ve bought a LOGR-style setting for my ametrine, 2 OEC rings, and the lotus...well beyond my means when it comes to spending! Gotta curb it soon.

For the 5:30 meetup with Lynnie, do you guys prefer happy our at Marathon or Moriarty''s, or ice cream at CapoGiro? (*sends happy gelato vibes...*)

Sorry Lovegem, Liane, and Clairitek! There are so many Philly PSers (including others who said earlier that they couldn''t make it, like Kaleigh) that it should be easy to do another one soon.

This is who I have down for lunch (1:00 at Penang, 10th just above Arch), with some descriptions so we know who we are:
me - tall brunette, not sure what I''ll wear, but probably with a ponytail and jeans (describes me 90% of the time)
