Hello to all

After Months of reading through the forums everyday....the time has finally come to make my first purchase ....

It would be safe to say i know a bit more than the average consumer but nowhere near some of the Cut Nuts on here.

IM Looking for anything from 0.85-0.99(I understand price drops signifcantly for just under a carat)
color-E to G range
aca/HA( whatever represents the best possible deal)
budget is more or less open at this stage(pref little)so Cmon help me spend my hard earned Cash.....

Thank you ALL in advance.....Pricescopers!!!

If you call up WF or Good Old Gold (or another PS vendor), they'll be able to help you find a beautiful diamond within your specifications--they'll have the stones in front of them so will be able to tell you more about them than we can based on just the numbers (i.e. eyeclean, light return, etc.) If you want some good candidates, though, I'm sure the wonderful people on this board will be able to find you some winners, or at least offer up opinions about some that you select.

ETA: Here's one of whiteflash's:

http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/A-Cut-Above-H-A-cut-diamond-684394.htm

Keep in mind that they won't necessarily have all their inventory listed on their website--I'd still just call them and ask.

Hi Max,

So whats the rest of the story, is this for you?

thanks Lady-Pirate-will do..

Im hoping some of the good people on here might help ....as i have read posts in the past where they have helped others find some some amazing stones..

Hi Triple

Im about to pop the question to my girfriend i have had her sized already kinda leaning towards a classic tiffany style setting and band(or maybe neat 4 claw not sure)

P.S ideally looking to stay above SI1- but advice here would be appreciated...

thx

That last one looks good Pl not so sure about H color any thoughts....

The idea is to make a short list then choose one with confidence knowing it was a joint decision.......

thx

If it''s eyeclean (and many are, in fact, totally), anything above that is just paying for more of what you can''t see.

However, for some it''s a mind clean thing, which is understandable.

lol Max, I hate to tell you this, but considering your size range, the list is going to be short to begin with.

Not too many well cut stones in this range at any given time.

A well cut H will still be really white (except to the most color sensitive of people). I doubt that you''d be able to tell the difference between that and a G unless they were right next to each other, and perhaps not even then.

I wish we had more choices to offer you, but as Ellen said, there are few H&A stones in the .9 range.

Oh, I understand. But they really are few and far between. When cutters get that close, most will do whatever it takes to reach the 1 ct. mark. If you can entertain the idea of an SI1, that one I posted and lp''s look really nice. GOG''s is a bit cheaper.

And you''re welcome.

What is the budget you're working with? It's possible that if you go down to SI1 (eyeclean, of course) or opt for a lower color, you could still afford a full carat, especially if you go with a really simple white gold setting. After all, that's what setting upgrades are for.

Thanks Mike.... anyonelse have any thoughts on this stone...?

M

Just that if you''re going to spend that much, you could definitely get over a carat.

Hi
budget is ideally $6-7$k incl platinum setting...but only plan on making this purchase once so am prepared to go up a bit to get a better stone....But ideally would like to reduce budget if possible...

M

Just a thought, some girls like to be able to say "1 ct." when asked what size it is. Might take that into consideration.

I think you need to tell us your budget, and then we can give you more info. That stone is $2000 more than the one Ellen posted, and if you go that high, we can definitely get you into a 1 ct. diamond.

Sorry, I see above you said $6000-7000 including setting. These could work with a solitaire.
