Hi guys,

this was a shop that I visited lately. For a fanatical diamond lover like myself, it was pure heaven. My family on the other hand were content to wait outside and couldnt care less about the eye candy inside!!!!

I wanted to say also that Ive never been treated so royally and with so much welcome in a jewellery shop. The sa were more than eager to let me try on stuff even though they knew I was just looking.

They had a very hot pink diamond heart that was going for about $850,000. Apparantly a pink heart of that size (approx. 1.2 carats) & color has not been cut for over a decade. I asked if I could take the security guard home too if I bought the heart.....well he was really cute.

Admitingly, the quality of their settings, the luster, the weight, the smoothness, the polish ....well they all made my ring feel abit shabby, although it held itself up well enough. But I have to be honest that this stuff was in a different leage.

the site is

www.calleija.com.au

lastly, the designs were really beautiful also

Oh Sharon I love that store, I think the girl I spoke to last time was called Addy, they are beyond lovely in there and the jewellery is OMG to die for. I have lusted over thier diamonds lots especially the glacier ones so pretty, I tried on a 4ct one once and it was just a sparkle bomb.

VERY VERY nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well its a small world then hey????

My other favourite thing to do in Surfers was to go to that coffee shop in the centre. It also sells chocolates and looks sooo posh!!!! Well they make the BEST coffee in Surfers without a doubt....so that sorts out my other addiction!!!!

Oh lord, I ran across them a couple of years ago. And they had this band. I still have the pic saved on my other computer. They have amazing stuff. It''s a serious drool fest everytime I''m on there.

Ahh... it''s still on their site. I ADORE this band.

Deelight, you could spend a lifetime trying to find a good capachino in Surfers. You know, where the beans are fresh, the brew is the right temperature, and the milk texturised like silk!!!! (Please dont give me dry merangue)
23.gif
And no, I wouldnt say the coffee in Charlies is any good...but the thickshakes & iced coffees/ chocolates are the best!!!!!!!!

The coffee shop I was talking about is in the Marina Mirage where the Calleija shop is!!!!

I think I know which one your talking about, I will have to go there next time I am down that way.

I love a good coffee, I don''t drink it often but it has to be good

Sharon was it Aromas the coffee shop?
They have just refurbished Marina Mirage. It has taken forever and caused a lot of disruption to the vendors there. I must cruise over one day for a look.
John Callega is the nicest guy.
He used to be a Sanctuary Cove and my husband had a business there and he gave great discounts. I have a gold bracelet that I got from him with an extremely generous discount.
What I shame he has moved and I can't get the family and friend discount anymore
7.gif

Oh and they recently got robbed! Two guys forced there way in and smashed all the cases and stole a LOT of stuff. The staff were trapped in here for hours. It was big news here

Yes it probably was called Aromas. Its the main coffee place that stands out in the place. And yes the refurbishment looks beautiful. But the place was quite empty when we were there.

I am sure you could still get the discount!!!

And what awful luck to be robbed like that. So much for the security guard there!!!

Apparantly they are having a colored diamond show there soon, so you could pop in then. How lucky are you to live so close.

You girls are so funny, after reading this I am having a great chuckle to myself. I can relate to the familly/husband standing outside the shop (they are just not into it like we are). Another nice couple of shops to add to Calleijas is Jan Logan and Anton in Melbourne''s Collins Street. Sorry don''t have website details, but easy enough to find.

And sorry ladies, but I have to say Melbourne has the best coffee over all. What more could you want Diamonds, Coffee and Chockies yum!

What a fun experience - I love getting to see really beautiful and rare pieces like that

Red diamond
I Posted this last year about John Calleja creating a ring from this amazing red diamond.
Sadly I have not spotted the final product but I am keeping my eyes open.

I adore this site! There''s a red/pink diamond at the centre of this design but it''s not the same stone. I''m using this as an inspiration to set some of my loose coloured diamonds:

i would love to see a pic of that hot pink heart shaped diamond!!! it sounds so yummy!!

I couldn't figure out how to copy the images, but oh my goodness.... those multi-colored gemstone necklaces ..... ((swoon))!

ETA and earrings -- like 250018 --

hmmm, I think I might have a few little loose gemstones lying around!

Thanks, Sharon!

tbh, its one of those things where if you didnt know about pink diamonds, you would never guess in a million years that it is worth so much!!!!

If you didnt know it was a diamond you might think it is really a pretty pink heart shaped crystal.....and it`s quite small.

The staff there were quite excited amongst themselves wondering who the lucky lady would be who would eventually buy it!!!!! We all fantasized how that would feel for about a second.

Sharon, I think I''d be better off not knowing. It''s just a lovely dream for me. Thank you for the kind offer.

Gypsy, I dont know what you mean here sweetie?

Were you refering to knowing what the pink heart looked like?

It didnt look that special......its just that if you know the rarity and cost, it makes the mind boggle.

.........and I hope I didnt accidently offer to buy it for anyone!!!!!!
