Received our CADs from JBEG for the modified Julia design we chose for our OEC. If y'all don't mind, take a look and let us know what you think.

The shank is 1.7mm, adjusted from a 2mm by JBEG to recreate that delicate feel that was so wonderful on the original Julia setting.

how exciting heyjudes!!

what metal are you going with again...??

I adore fine bands on a solitaire - my JM has a 1.8mm band and I really feel it makes my stone pop

any thoughts on a wedding band yet...??

I am just ordering mine from Jim now - but it has taken me ages to decide

I would recommend maybe have a think about that now whilst you are creating the ering in case you need to tweak anything

Helio! We are going with platinum. And yes, already discussed wedding rings with JBEG and a band will sit almost flush with the e-ring. Most likely going with a classic solid band.

I think its really beautiful!

It''s beautiful, I adore that setting.

I love it! It''s going to be a gorgeous ring!

I love this look.

I think the changes you''ve made are great choices - the setting will showcase your stone perfectly without overwhelming it in any way

I love that setting and I don''t normally love solitaires.

Love this ring. Will be beautiful with an OEC. What size is your stone?

I am considering this one as well, you have made the change to a 6 prong which is what I was thinking.

Are you going with the pave on the undercarraige?

That ring is truly exceptional -- it is exquisite from every angle, perfectly proportioned, delicate and elegant -- simply gorgeous! I''m bookmarking this thread as an example of perfect marriage of stone and setting, and beautiful execution of design. Don''t forget to post hand shots, and congratulations!

What a gorgeous ring. I can''t wait to see the real thing.

Thank you to everyone for your kind comments. We have been having a great time working with Erica at JBEG. The process has been so smooth and easy.

We did modify the original Julia. It is now 6 prongs since our stone is "only" a 1.45 as compared to the 3.6+ carat in the original Julia. We felt that given our stone was smaller less metal would show it off a bit more. And no, the basket will remain solid as indicated in the CADs, no extra bling below. Just a personal decision on our part.

It''s gonna be stunning!!!!

I saw this in person when I was ring shopping, it''s lovely!! The CADs don''t do it justice, it''s so petite! Can''t wait to see your real life photos.

Looks to be a truly beautiful ring - can''t wait to see handshots of the ring!

Y''all have been so kind and nary a negative word, so we are giving JBEG the official go ahead. You didn''t think we''d go ahead without getting the comments of the PS community, did you?

Thank you again to the community. You don''t realize how much help and guidance you''ve provided us through this ongoing journey. And, at the risk of sounding corny, we couldn''t have gotten to this perfect ring without y''all.
