Finally got my CADs from Whiteflash in but they werent what I expected. Lack of specificity on my part Im guessing or bad interpretation of specification on there bad but either way. Im bummed, especially since I called my self making my specs SIMPLER is probably what ruined the first round of cads.
I originally wrote this
Head - 6 prong basket, same style as picture (http://www.whiteflash.com/engagement-rings/solitaire/etoile-du-couer-solitaire-engagement-ring-1562.htm) with two contact points (http://www.whiteflash.com/gallery/diamond-engagement-rings/custom-6-prong-diamond-engagement-ring-32101.htm) including the curved section under the center stone
After decided I wanted prongs a 12 and 6 o clock which the other design wouldn't allow I changed it to this
Head - this head (http://www.whiteflash.com/gallery/diamond-engagement-rings/custom-6-prong-diamond-engagement-ring-32101.htm) in-between the prongs that are located at 2 & 4 and 8 & 10 o'clock instead of the 'V' shaped piece connecting the two prongs; I would like a straight line connecting the prongs
After reviewing the cads I sent, The the way that way the head is attached to the shank of the ring is not what I had envisioned. I would like the head attached to the ring exactly how it is in the reference picture
MORAL OF THE STORY BE AS SPECIFIC AS POSSIBLE other wise youll end up waiting for cad revisions
QUESTION
Is it normal for a shared prong ring to vary in its heights? In the cads it seem that the top is thick at the top then tapers down
