Hello Ladies and Gents! :wavey:

Many of you have been SUPER SUPER SUPER helpful to me in my quest for just the right 5 stone engagement ring!!! Once again, here is a consumer that has ended up with a highly superior ring almost entirely because of the knowledge generously shared by PSers.

I am excited to announce that the ring has been decided on and paid for, and now the CADs are in! I've never done this before, so it would make me feel lots safer if more experienced ladies would give me any ideas or advice they might have on the CADs. I settled on a 1.25 tcw, (which allowed me to get certified Signature Brian Gavin H&A stones), with the head of BGD's shared prong setting, and a band similar to a design I had seen in a B&M store. The band was super comfy, and the weight around the underside of the ring is supposed to help keep it upright. Also I LUV how it looks. (I know CADs are always bulkier than the finished product, so the slight heftiness of the setting is OK.)

So what do you all think?! I don't think its going to "hang over" and annoy my other fingers (I don't think!!) but it is properly blingy for an ering. The only change I've requested is for the prongs on the outermost stones to be swapped out for more of a half bezel set or something, so the shoulders are as smooth as possible across the top. I've been now been waiting for a week for this one change. I am being patient, but this is seeming a tad long? :saint:

Any ideas or suggestions are greatly greatly appreciated.

I love the look of your ring! BGD does beautiful work, so I'm sure you're in good hands.

I would ask them if an outer Bezel would be more comfortable than prongs, they get a lot of customer feedback, so they might be able to comment on if it will feel any different, or what the best option is.

I love the lower counterweight - such a good idea!

What are you going to do for a wedding band? Can't wait for more pics!

It will be stunning.

One of my favorite things about five stones and eternities with MRB is the beautiful scalloped edge. If it were my ring, I might ask them to "pinch" the prongs together even a smidge more to accentuate the scallop.

I can't imagine waiting for that to be done! I the classic look of the white stones against yellow gold. And with that broad contoured shank (very sexy!) and low-set stones - I think it's going to be stunning. On my hand I think the outer stones would rub up against adjacent fingers, but the semi-bezel should take care of that.

I think you're going to have a beautiful and very functional ring!

This is going to be such an amazing engagement ring!

Thank you everyone for your kind words and reassurances! I am super excited to get my OOAK beauty here...

Oh I really like the profile view and the weight at the bottom. It gives is a very flow-y organic feel to the ring! Just gorgeous!

A week for that small of a change? I would just shoot over a quick "hi, any updates? :saint: " email as a friendly reminder!

I can't wait to see the finished ring!

Very pretty. I'd follow up with whomever you are working with. Lately I've had some poor response times from BGD and Lesley has lost a few of my emails in the past few weeks. I'm not sure why, they are usually very good.

Well I called BGD, and they are saying it will be a few more days. So I'm hoping next week. The great news is that the edge is going to be sort of like a bar set, but as flush as possible.

FINGERS CROSSED this next version is perfect so I can end this waiting game. Thank you all again for your advice and encouragement. I would feel pretty alone in this without PSers!

Your ring is gorgeous! I wouldn't worry too much about it being uncomfortable. I have the trellis setting on my 5-stone, with prongs on the ends and it is very comfortable, even when it turns a little and the stones get between my fingers. Mine is from WF, but is very similar to the BGD setting. Can't wait to see your pictures!

OP - did your ring come in yet? do you have it? do you love it? I am sure I am not speaking for only myself when I say I am longing to see hand shots... I just love this band design!

nice curves.

Do you have it yet?! Would love to see it as I'm considered a very similar ring myself!
