Cad three stone ring....look ok?

[QUOTEو="Mlh, post: 4717600, member: our 113444"]
Because you prefer bigger diamonds or because of the proportions shown in the cad? I see you are buying a 15 ct eternity band. So not sure we have the same frame of reference.

Because the your ring is out of proportion

I love the proportions! I’ve always loved three stone rings but I feel like I’ve seen so many three stone rings posts here lately and it’s giving me new things to add to my wish list!

Thanks for weighing in @Mamajemmy !!

One thing about asking for opinions, is you’re going to get all sorts of them. Well meaning ones, misguided ones, honest helpful ones. And sometimes not. LoL.

Anyways!
Can we see pics of your inspirations?
That will help ‘read’ the CAD to know what to look for to advise on.

Your ring looks lovely!

Are there any specific changes you made from the ring in the video?

Hi @Mamajemmy . The ring in the video is 7.2 mm and 4.9 side stones. My stone is 6.55 and DK recommended 4.5 sides. Otherwise that is the cad of that ring.

I don’t see anything out of sorts on the CAD, and didn’t really expect to because it’s based on a design he’s done before.
The only thing I remember from this ring design, was that it was done twice with a tweak of the angle/height of the sidestones. And there’s no right/wrong on which you like - just personal preference if you are going for a certain specific “look”.

Very helpful @Rfisher. Thanks for the visual. Yes, the top one looks nice. I just asked for it to be flush with a 2mm band.

Are you getting the band from him as well, or did you send the band you have to him?

I don’t find the sizes of stones out of proportion.
Most of us have a budget in mind when getting a project done.
The OP might hv the main stone on hand & how to just swop to a bigger one?

I find it beautiful, can’t wait to see the real thing & lots of hand shots of course :lickout:

I abs adore the setting! I am a 3 stone ring owner.

I think the proportions are spot on, I wouldn't change a thing! Plus I would trust DK's judgement 100%.

It's going to be proportionally very elegant.
A beauty.

Lovely!
