I like the first with the halos around both. To my eyes, it looks off without the smaller stone haloed and I think you will appreciate the size bump with the halo. It’s a pretty design!
+100 to MamaBear's comment. I much prefer both stones haloed!!
I prefer the no-haloed second stone. I find it more interesting and the different sizes look intentional vs the
size difference with both halos. It's definitely a personal preference...go with the one that speaks to you (you
can't go wrong with either)!
Yes, I thought you wouldand do you think there’s any other changes needed?
I can’t decide whether to pay more for French pave instead of fishtail...

Completely agree. I find the 2nd option visually more interesting and actually more compositionally balanced.
Bc the first has both stones haloed, it’s hard to find a visual emphasis (which I assume you want to be your pink diamond!)
I get the theory of asymmetry, it’s just with these proportions it kind of looks like the unhalo-ed one is a bump on the big one. But that’s just a matter of taste. If that is the look you are going for then awesome.
ETA: Are you sure you don’t like them set vertically?
No matter what, it will be pretty.
I want to see how the bails attach. Im having a hard time visualizing that. The second picture definitely shows off the asymmetry better, imo. Have you decided to halo just the one stone or both?
I like the second picture better but like others, can't see how the bails will work at different heights.
I'd have to see a picture of the smaller stone haloed and nothing on the larger one. Just can't get a feel for the sizing without a visual image somehow.
The halo on the smaller stone doesn’t work with no halo on the big one! That drawing was the original idea but the sizing looked too similar that it looked wrong, so we haloed the big one, just didn’t redraw it!
I just like the way it looks but it won’t work in reality as I can’t see how the bails work with the smaller stone sitting up higher, even if we put the bails on the back of the setting! Argh!!!
I don’t want to set them vertically for some reason! Can’t tell you why
When we were designing it we mocked a couple up - do you think the smaller one needs to sit higher above the haloed stone??
I like the handrawn one you can see in the background but the halo is on the wrong stone - I like the setting heights though - don’t know how the bails would attach for the chain though!

One more idea...how about halo the larger and bezel the smaller? I actually like the asymmetry but maybe a bezel will give the smaller one a little more oomph.
Another thought - how about bezels instead of halos? The halos give the extra umph but bezels can make the diamonds appear larger too. Just thinking that maybe the extra metal work would give more metal on the underside of the diamonds to attach bails to - like one closer to the top of the larger diamond and one midway down the smaller diamond so that it could hang decently?
I actually think the 3 claw look is nice as it can get really close to the other setting but did you see the other design I posted, which is similar to your thinking and could work!
