Hi all! I figured I''d start it early this week to make up for the absence. So, how has everyone been doing with meeting their goals? Let''s all set a long-term goal!

My long-term goal: TONE MY ARMS!

What''s yours?

my goal is to tone my arms too :) im trying to tone instead of weight loss so i can keep looking good in my dress i bought way too early because im a dip

wish me luck lol

We have the same exact issue! Haha. So I''ll join you in being a dip.

I can''t lose anymore weight essentially..

..oh well, arms it is!

long term goal: lose 6-10 more lbs and have toned arms and legs.

I am running as much as I can (currently training for a half-marathon) and work-out w/ my personal trainer 3X/wk

I already lost about 18 lbs since April.

I want to be back at the weight I was a couple years ago. I gained about 30 lbs my last year of pharmacy school and I hate it. This is not who I am and I can''t wait to get back to that girl (and that jean size) that I once was. I am seeing so much progress and I am almost at my goal and it feels great!

Mine is to tone my thighs and stomach. Doing those squats and crunches everyday!

hi, kind of embarrassed to show my "face" here again. since I went on vacation I kind of stopped my exercises. I was doing so well for 4 months: toning 3x per week. and now I''ve stopped for 3 weeks. bad bad bad.

well, my goal right now is to start again!

I also want to tone up the tuckshop ladies

I would like to drop the other half of my weight loss goal, 25kg down, another 25kg to go. Even if I don''t get there, any more weight off my backside is good right?!

For those in the US, 1kg = 2.2 pounds!

I''ve been feeling GREAT which is really all that matters. I''ve been hiking at ton, at least twice a week. This week it will be more - I helped with a nighttime animals hike Thursday evening, did a four mile loop yesterday, a three mile extremely difficult uphill today, and am doing a two mile on Tuesday. I figure that the more I get out the better! :)

Erica,

I saw that pic of your hiking spot in Irvine. SOOOO jealous! Chicago is flat, flat, flat, and boring, boring, boring, when it comes to outdoor space.

Plus it''s getting to "early winter" so not a lot of time to do much outside.

I''ve been really bad and have fallen off the workout wagon. It got colder here and I don''t like running anymore. But I did get some proper running socks so hopefully I can convince myself to run this week.

I feel like I''m starting from scratch again. Boooo!

Ugh, my long term goal is to tone EVERYWHERE! We're having a DW in Mexico and not only do I wanna look good in my wedding dress but I'll be in a bathing suit with my guests all week long!

Laura: Laura that is great that you''ve lost 18 lbs!

It sounds like you have great goals!

Diva: How are the crunches going so far?

Noel: Hellooo! No embarrassment necessary! How have you been?
4.gif
Did you get started again?

Honey: Hi Honey! Wow you''ve lost a lot of weight as well, congrats!

Erica: Your hikes sound awesome. Good luck on the 2 mile one today!

lliang: I''ve fallen off the arm toning wagon..so let''s get back on it together, we can do it! Running in the cold sounds eeeek...

..have you tried the Wii Fit? It''s got a jogging in place option? Might be too slow for you to feel the effects though..not sure.

CDN: Helloo! You can do it I know you can!

Here''s a question, when you''ve got a late night how do you usually plan your meals? To me it always seems easier to get takeout or fast food..but that''s not healthy.
7.gif
So what do you do?

Sarah, when you say "Late night meals" are you talking about staying up late working/studying? Or going out and coming back late? For the "industrious" late nights, I''d say you should have dinner at a normal/earlier time and then pre-make snacks so you can munch a little while you''re doing work. Something like hummus & carrots or apples & cheese or something.

For the "social" late nights, if you''re coming back that late, I usually like the unhealthy take out so I''d probably go that route anyway.

Yes, let''s get back on the workout wagon together!!! It''s 55F in Chicago today.

But I''m going down to FL to do wedding planning stuff. Hopefully I can run a bit down there.

Both actually..but right now I''ve been getting home at like 8:00 or after 9..so it''s lateeee.

Ooh lucky getting to go to FL, it''s gotten cold here, too!

Have fun wedding planning and hopefully you can get a run in!

Anyway, I will be gone for the weekend (I think you''re going to Florida, right?), so I won''t be responding until Sunday. I am going to visit family that does not have internet.

So, after falling off the bandwagon now, I am down ~4lbs in the past 3 weeks. Woohoo!

Mainly through diet. I refuse to eat lunch at the food court (unless veggie sushi or a salad w/o cheese or fattening dressing) and instead I am am eating soups/salads and sandwiches from the salad bar place near my work. I''ve also stopped snacking between meals. I let myself have 1 "splurge" day on the weekends..that''s it.

~10 more lbs to go! Wish me luck.
