Ladies, I know you can help me!

My sister had a baby in June, and because she wants a small vineyard wedding next June, she''s hoping to find something tea length or knee-length, maybe with some volume. Strapless doesn''t matter because she''s planning on adding a small shrug to cover the arms.

Can you ladies please help find some examples? I''m at a loss of trying to find anythig . . .

Lauren, does your sister have a budget?

Let''s just say no more than $2,500 or so. It''s pretty flexible.

This is a Carmela Sutera dress. Unfortunately, I don''t know the cost.

Here are some Anne Barge and Romona Kevesa dresses.

These are fabulous CDNinNYC!

Have you seen anything with volume with tulle or anything?

I know this style isn''t for everyone but it''s one of my favourite dresses by Angel Sanchez. Would be really pretty for an outdoor wedding.

I love this dress, and my friend wore it to her wedding (that''s her actual photo, hence the no face) Melissa Sweet, gorgeous, and $2k!

This one is actually a two piece by Sully Bonnelly.

This link is awesome! The Audrey is gorgeous - I''m sending that one to her right now!

Do you happen to know what kind of price range Stephanie James runs?

I love this Michelle Roth gown, though I'm not sure about the price.

ETA Oops, just saw CDinNYC's post...

Unfortunately, I don''t know about the pricing. I just tried googling it, but nothing comes up.

LOL; great minds think alike!

Depending on your sister figure (and by this I mean primarily her bust line) she could shop for a high end prom/dance dress.
Nordstroms, Jessica McClintock, Saks, and to boutique stores are all good options.... a friend of mine found a stunning white dress (for a sorority initiation but same idea right?) at a consignment shop...if you have a university near you it might be worth a look.

These are all great ideas, thanks so much for your help, ladies! I''m going to send her the link now that she''s gone home and maybe she''ll sign up for PS!

Thanks for checking - I''m sure she''ll be able to contact the company directly and ask them. Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions!

According to Stephanie James'' blog, her dresses range between $1,200 and $4,000. Here''s the post: click here!

Good find Lexie!

Lauren,

Ah, I thread I know something about! I really really really wanted a tea length dress, but being a Catholic with a huge Catholic wedding, it just wasn''t happening. So I''m going to probably get one to wear for the latter end of the reception instead! All the dress the girls have posted are gorgeous. In respect to Stephanie James, I have been e-mailing her about potentially doing my second dress. And the two dresses that I picked out "Audrey" and "Dahlia" are 1800 to almost 3K. So they are quite pricey.

There are a couple of short dresses on www.preownedweddingdresses.com which are both Melissa Sweet.

Also, if you google "poofy, tea length dresses" exactly, your first result will be a thread on the indie bride board, and it is absolutely the BEST thread on the net for tea length wedding dresses. Your sister should DEFINITELY check it out. (And the girls there are very thrifty, so the ideas are affordable!)

Hope this helps.
