I am besotted with this ring : http://www.verragio.com/make-it-yours.php?prod_id=1004#tab-wraps

My husband has said I can have it as when we were married we couldn't afford such a lavish ring. I am concerned about were I can buy this and have it sent to me. Can anyone tell me what are the reputable companies in America that can send one out? I am hoping to put a 1.2 carot in it and will study hard to find the right diamond. I have already emailed Verragio but as yet have no response. A jewellery place called James Allen has said they can probably do it but I have no knowledge of whether they are reputable? Please help? Also is there a good place to buy diamonds then purchase to have them set in the ring I would like the best diamond in my price range (don't we all).

Thanks

Whiteflash. highly regarded here on PS, is an authorized retailer for Verragio & experienced in dealing with international orders : - )

Edited to share a concern about that setting: resizing, should your ring size change in the future (as happens to many of us) could be very challenging because that would disturb the intricate detailing that's in the entire shank. But Varragio typically offers a number of different shank options for its settings, so there may be a modified version of the one you're seeing that would make resizing less problematic. I'm sure Whiteflash would be happy to talk with you about this.

Whiteflash and James Allen are both reputable dealers of Verragio. If you are looking to get a diamond from the same place, both can accommodate. It just depends on your wants and needs. WF offers ACA diamonds which are gorgeous and JA has a larger inventory of more "budget friendly" diamonds.

Hi I'm an Aussie too, email Whiteflash, James Allen and IDJ;

https://idjewelry.com/

And get the best price each of them could do for the stone size you want all of them also sell diamonds cheaper than here. Be aware you need to ask them to fill in a declaration when they ship the setting that it was made in the US to save 5% on GST. You will still have to wear the currency exchange and a 10% tax on the price of the item when it arrives.

Thank you I will check all these places out and I am starting to study some of the aspects of diamonds so I know what I am getting. Is H colourless or almost colourless? I notice a big price difference between G and H.
Thanks

G,H,I,J is near colourless. I suggest seeing some in real life to see which colour is acceptable to you. We originally wanted only G above only but cannot see any colour on H and I when we looked in person.

Thanks Sean_T.

No worries. One of the shops I went to said one thing that stuck with me. If you have a limited budget, why pay more for something you can't see at the expense of what you can see.

So I went from VVS F 0.7 all the way to VS2 I 1.2. You may be more colour sensitive so I really do suggest seeing some in real life. Some photos will show the diamond yellowish but in real life fluoro, fire and brilliance plays a part.

All the best from a kiwi neighbour.
