I am considering buying a VCA necklace from true facet but it doesnt come with a box or paperwork I understand that I get a discount for this reason but I'm so worried about authenticity !

Hi @divya I’m sure you know to be very careful with this! VCA can be faked as can be seen on a quick trawl through eBay. I have bought preloved VCA myself but only pieces with box and paperwork, I wouldn’t do it otherwise (and even these can be faked or replaced, I’m sure). Is there any way to get 3rd party authentication? There’s a great VCA forum on the other (purse related) site, you could ask for advice there.

What is the piece? Some lines are counterfeited much more often than others.
If you're buying Alhambra or Frivole... I strongly recommend buying only directly from VCA or from personally trusted sources - "superfakes" have been known to fool established vendors and third-party authenticators.

But mostly - @diamondseeker2006's tagline is a good tenet to live by: if in doubt, don't. You're already worried. Trust me, the concern will only increase when payment leaves your bank account. Don't.

MOP Vintage - Sweet of your husband, but extremely unlikely to end happily. Hopefully this vendor has a return policy!

I would say examine to very carefully. Go and look at pieces at a VCA boutique very carefully as well. Then compare it. I have bought VCA successfully from truefacet so not all purchases are bad.

Thank you for the encouragement! it's still a lot of money so I'm so so wary. But i will definitely examine it carefully and try not to be too tempted lol. Did your pieces come with paperwork?
