Thanks for all the helpful responses.

I've read up on 60/60 stones and it seems like there is some controversy about them... but from the posts here, this one is cut well and should be a good performer that's brighter than it is fiery.

Should I be concerned about fish-eye with those angles?

Nope. No fish eye on that stone. 8)

I need to choose a setting for this stone.

Would a setting inspired by this http://www.whiteflash.com/wedding-bands/lotus-diamond-wedding-band-by-leon-mege-1245.htm
(with all white gold and colourless diamonds) work with the size of my diamond? I'm afraid if there's too much going on with the head it would take away from the center stone. I'd want something that makes the center stone appear larger but no halos.

Whether you go with a pave band or not a 2mm band is a great width. It will make your stone POP but will also be safe for daily wear.

I like pave bands, personally. So yes, I think one like that would be nice. I would keep the pave at only 2/3rds of the band though. And please remember that sometimes pave doesn't size well.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like that those are simple and not too busy. Though logistically it may be easier for me to go with a Vatche or JA setting. I had originally thought about the Vatche Caroline Pave but I'm not sure if it will showcase the diamond like those will.

The Vatche 1521 and 1535 look similar to the 2nd last one you posted.

I've tried that one on and it's too thin, in my experience. If she has bony finger it might work. If she has any squish on them at all though, it's not a good look. Stick to 2mm shank widths. Not thinner. The Caroline is actually a perfect choice. This one herhttp://www.dvatche.com/index.php?page=collection&catID=3,11&startRow=36&id=11

e is nice as well: http://www.dvatche.com/index.php?page=collection&catID=3,11&startRow=24&id=185

These are nice as well:

And this is my favorite:

It seems like your favorite is missing :)

The 1502 looks like the Caroline with the pave basket.

Things I'm concerned about that might make the center stone look smaller?
-pave basket on 1502, 1011 and Caroline obscuring the diamond.
-prongs on the 1021 look thick

How can you tell what shank widths those rings are? Some vendors list them but the discrepancy between vendors seems differ, up to 1mm sometimes.
