Hi everyone:) Just wanted to see if anyone can give me an opinion on whether there would be much visual difference between a 5 stone 1.0 ctw band versus a 5 stone 1.25 ctw band? I have looked in my local jewelry stores and have only seen up to 1.0 carats in this style. I am ordering this band from WF (they have been great to work with so far by the way

) and the price difference is $290. My husband said whichever one I want to order is fine with him. I have searched the forums for other pictures of 5 stone bands and they are beautiful! Most of the hand pics I have seen here seem to be around 1.0 carats, with a few being around 1.25 - 1.38. (There was also a beautiful one that was 0.60 carats - think it was Kitty Tiger/Leota''s tiny hands?) It''s just so hard to get perspective from pictures! Also, my ring finger is around a size 8, so I thought 1.25 could help add a bit with such a big finger. What do you all think? Any opinions/thoughts are appreciated!

Oh - I should add - this ring will be a stand alone ring by the way - not to go with an e-ring.

In that case, I'd go with the bigger look. It's 25% more cwt for not much more $.

Isn''t bigger always better?

aljdewey - thanks for the input! I''ve been thinking about it since I posted and thought, why shouldn''t I go bigger if my husband doesn''t care and it''s not that much more money?:) Just need a little push I guess:), since I didn''t know if it would make that much difference visually, but as you said, it is 25% more carat weight. If I look at it like that, makes me want it even more:)

Dancing Fire - I LOVE your wife''s 5 stone!! I want mine exactly like yours - it has been an inspiration to me:) I think I even sent a picture of it back to WF to say that I wanted my setting like yours (hope you don''t mind). I wish your wife would have let us see pictures on her hand! So Dancing Fire, have you been happy with the ACA stones? I know a few people on the boards recently have talked about a dark or gray look to their ideal cut diamonds, and I just want to make sure mine look really sparkly.

I had originally been looking at 3/4 eternity bands, but when I went to try some on, I didn''t feel like they were substantial enough for my big fingers. However, I really loved the 5 stones and then searched and found so many pretty ones on here that I decided that was what I wanted, especially for a stand-alone ring.

Tacori E-ring - LOL, yep I guess it probably is:)

Dancing Fire - WOW!!!!

I missed those hand pictures when I was searching previously!!!! Your wife''s rings are absolutely breathtaking!! I really really wish my husband wanted to buy me diamonds like those:) Thank you so much for sending me the link! I''m really happy to hear that you like the WF band and the ACA stones. Honestly I don''t think I''ve ever known anyone who had an ideal cut diamond (and I don''t own any either), so at this point I''m going more off of everyone else''s opinions. The 1.25 c band looks so substantial on your wife''s tiny fingers. Wish mine were that small!
