Argh! I was the second highest bidder! The only reason I didn't go higher was that multicolour had a similar product, slightly worse crystal habit but, IMO, better color, for $55....

There's a seller on ebay that sells perfect octahedron diamond rough that look like your pretty spinel there. You could make a little hanging wire wrap necklace with that one one the octahedron diamonds.

This is such a beautiful stone! They are very popular these days...I think Renee Newman featured a very expensive pendant which was made of golden ropes, like a cage, with a similar spinel inside.

Gemwow has quite a few pretty crystals (mind you, I have not purchased from them).

I would be afraid of scratching myself and others with that ring - but I am a bit of a klutz.
