brown Asscher

You have to see it in person.
I agree.
It looks pretty.
There is a ton of weight hidden in the pavilion but that's pretty common.
Another option is have PS sponsor David at DBL pull it in for a look and see if he will work with you on a price match.

Disclosure: I worked for dbl at one time.

That sucker is deep with big hips. Hope I can find more to not like because a chunky bottom does not discourage me.
Thanks Karl!

Here’s a dark brown pink.

Luuuurve it. The above is dark SI2 MRB so I can’t compare it with the pretty golden-rootbeer step cut SI1 that you found. You have to see it in person.

you think it's pretty? I love that color. And thank you for the link, all these qualities mean more when you learn something.

Reminds me of sunlight streaming through curtains into a dark room in the late afternoon. And the step cut facets stay crisp when you rotate the image.

Indulging my bad habit, found this on Brilliance: https://www.brilliance.com/loose-di...make-si1-clarity-gia-certified-SKU-D133958869
I don't mind the cut but is there something hazy about the crystal? Like "clouds and internal graining"? Looking for opinions.

The website isn't doing themselves any favors with the description "Fancy Dark Brown Color". The GIA color call is actually "orangy brown" which is WAY better!

Yes, I believe you are seeing the internal graining. And it can have an impact on transparency.

The company name, "Briliance" is often a misnomer.
Thank you, Bryan. I sort of ruled it out because I suspect it will be darker than the video.

If you find a "brownish orange" at this price, better jump on it! :-)

You don't think it would be too dark? I read it as orangey brown, dumb mistake.

It is graded as dark, so it will be dark in tone. And the primary color is brown. And it may have some transparency deficit due to graining. But "too dark" is very subjective and only you would be able to tell if the stone is for you, and only by seeing it in person.

(I was making a little joke about finding a brownish orange. Reversing the order of hues on the color call makes a big difference in price!)

Man. you had me at orange! But even I see it at primarily brown, and I think the table will look too dark for me. Video lighting is not real life.

Any interesting Etsy, either in natural or lab?

Another case of the merchant shooting themselve in the foot with the description. This is a brownish YELLOW, not a "Fancy Brown". Again, evidence of graining/striation though, and probable transparency issues. But for only $350 - lab grown.

Purely in terms of eye appeal, the lab gets the nod.

Omg - I’m in LOVE ❤️
