My brother proposed to his girlfriend last week using this ring that my jeweller and I helped him create. Don't have the proposal details but here's the ring...

Specs:
2.35 ct ruby (untreated)
0.98 ctw diamonds

That's me modelling the ring the night he picked it up before they flew to Bali.

Thanks, everyone!!! I really liked the ring and am now contemplating getting a ruby for myself. Argh...too much bling and too little money....

There is only one row of halo surrounding the ruby. Here is a close-up...I didn''t have time to take too many shots that night plus it was late so the lighting is not great...hopefully you can see better with this one...
