6D40E8E7-014F-49EC-BCDC-CD46B84BFF79.jpeg I am pretty sure I need a real intervention. All these brooches just keep popping up around me. This one I had converted to a pendant and it is stunning. How many of these do I own now, you may wonder? Three. I own three, and if number four shows it’s face anytime soon it’ll be all mine too. When I paid for #3 it was discovered that the clasp may be faulty. We don’t know because we’d never seen one like it before and we couldn’t get it to release. Off to their jeweler it went for repair OR another pendant conversion. The diamonds in that one are a good size. There’s one thing about jewelry collecting...it usually doesn’t take up a lot of space....thank goodness.

It’s beautiful so I understand your “obsession”
Perhaps you could expand into bracelets.:appl:

I think I will. This particular brooch seemed a bit too delicate for a bracelet because I did consider that. The gold work is like a spider web. Maybe with another brooch because they seem to be plentiful since I bought all three at the same pawn shop and I honestly think people see it as a brooch only and don’t consider other options.

OOOOhh, @LorettaB, this is gorgeous!
You have a good eye.
I have been jewelry obsessed since I was a kid.
I can't get enough. It's hard to pass stuff up, merely because I have another one just like it.:eek2:
There is no cure. We are all doomed.

It’s beautiful!! Love the fine milgrain. What metal is it?

Have I got a story for you....my daddy was an “older” daddy. (If I told you how much older you’d probably be shocked.). He had a half sister who ran a brothel in New Orleans in the early 1900’s. Another cousin told me she remembers going to see our aunt when she was a little girl and getting to play with all the beautiful jewelry she had, particularly sapphires and diamonds. Years later her brother recognized her on the street. He hadn’t seen her in years and she was basically a homeless person. He took her in and she gave the one piece of jewelry she had left to his daughter, who told me this story. I must have gotten my jewelry obsession from my aunt who also happened to be a madam and my birthstone happens to be sapphire!

That's really pretty. I have a pin with a convertable pendant bale that looks similar. Platinum with 18k Pinback

Wow! That story is as amazing as the pendant.
