Thanks for the link Tgal. My Little One is pushing 20lbs and is not quite 8 months. Her infant carrier max weight is 22lbs and I have been looking at rear facing car seats for the last few weeks.

I really want a rear facing car seat that will last through the new 2 year old rear facing requirement. How much does a two year old normally weigh? Is there any thing that I should look for in a new car seat? Does anyone have a car seat that they just love? Are there any good ones that are economically priced? I need to buy 4! (although price is my last deciding factor, we can afford it, but it kinda sucks to drop $600-800 all at once.)

Amelia is 22 months and about 26 pounds. The weight gain tapers off dramatically in the second year. She is still rearfacing.

Does anyone know if the sale is always in Feb??

Bebe is due early this summer, so next Feb would be perfect timing to buy a Britax (s/he will be 7 mos).

It''s not a good idea to buy it super-early as it lessens the life of the warranty, right? Plus, I''d hate to have to store it for a year!

They usually have Britax sale twice a year. I think in Feb and Sept.

Yes, QT is right. Britax has sales twice a year, in February and September.

I would definitely wait to purchase. Car seats expire 6 years after their date of manufacture.

Agree - wait. But be on the lookout...some of the best deals seem to come randomly during the year. Target had the Hannah (girly print) marathon earlier in the year for $149. With a 10% coupon that was posted on the net, it was $135 (basically $150 after taxes, but free shipping).

I have to buy a toddler seat now as my daughter is 16 months old and we got rid of the ones that my other kids had . Which Britax do you recommend?

Quick question: Would it be worth it to purchase a carseat with a 2009 manufacture date for an extra $30 off? Albee Baby has the Boulevard in Sutton for $229.99 (normally $309.99). The cheapest I can find any other Boulevard is $259.99. I called Albee Baby and they confirmed the price is so low because they have 2009 manufacture dates.

Little E is about 5 months, and I''m assuming they would use a seat like this until about 4-5 years old? So he would still outgrow it before it expires, right? Just looking for opinions from BTDT moms.

My Britax car seats arrived today! I ordered 2 Boulevards and 1 marathon. The marathon had a build date of 1/25/10, one boulevard had a build date of 2/2/10 and the other had a build date of 9/25/09.

I saved roughly $100 on each one!
