So, now that I have finally come to terms with trying dresses on (thank you all for your help here), I figured it was time to try to find dresses I like to figure out where to go shopping. I have fallen in love, love, love with the Vineyard Jules (see it in action here). However, no where in my state has it in stock. One salon could bring it in for $300.
I would have to be sure it was ''the dress'' before I did this, because that $300 would come out of my already limited dress budget. And, because of the unique style, it is unlikely that I could even try on a similar gown to get a sense of whether I like it on me as much as I like it on their model.
My questions for you:
1. What do you think of the dress for a bride who wants something stylish, modern, and (most importantly) non-traditional?
2. Is $300 reasonable to bring a dress in? (i.e. would you consider it)?
3. Do you think this style would be complementary to someone who is short (5''3") and not super thin (street size 6) and large-chested?
All other feedback is welcome, too!
