So I''ve picked the bridesmaid dress! It''s the dress at the top, but in the full length version (not tea length). I photoshopped the possible color options (don''t laugh at my bad attept!), so help me pick!

The colors for the wedding are white, black and champagne/gold with blush accents. I inculded colors of the ties/bouts the men will be wearing, as well as the bridesmaid bouquets. My Mom would like to wear black, so I think I''d like the bridesmaid dress or the sash to be black. Do you think that black dresses or a sash look too dark for a springtime wedding? Keep in mind it''s black tie and at 6pm. Also, would it bother you if the bridesmaids wore only gold (tone on tone dress and sash) and the Moms wore black? Black is one of our colors, and it is sort of neutral...it''s not purple of orange or anything. Help!

I like the middle option the best. If you mom is wearing black then I think it might make sense for the girls to not be in black. That being said... I think it would be good for them to have a little black on them so you stand out as the only woman in a white dress on your special day. I love photoshop for helping to visualize things!

oh, one other thing... the body types of your bridesmaids might help with your decision as well?

I like the dress in black with the gold sash. I think it''s fine for a Spring evening wedding, and the sash will distinguish it enough from your mom''s dress. I think the beautiful bouquet would get lost in the gold dress, on the other hand.

Thats a good point!

I LOVE the idea of having your bridesmaids wear gold dresses with black sashes, and I don''t think it is too dark for a springtime wedding. Not only do I think the look is utterly feminine and sophisticated, but I like that your girls will correspond to the Moms, without being matchy matchy.

One of my absolute favorite inspiration weddings that I have found online had bridesmaids with gold dresses and black sashes. The wedding was a very sophisticated evening affair, and I think that the color combo looked great. (I hope it is OK if I post the link. Go to this website: http://karlischphotography.com/, and then go to "Portfolios", and then click on "New Orleans.")

Amy, with regard to the bridesmaids body types-- 1 bridesmaid is 5''0" size 0, 2 are about size 4-8, and two are prob size 14 street clothes. I specifically picked an a-line dress so that is was flattering. I''m 5''9 and normally a size 8-10, and the size 10 sample fit and was flattering.

Jstar, I definetly see your point. I can''t decide if the bouquets blend in too much with the gold dresses, or if the gold dresses help to keep the look light.

Kelly, that wedding is gorgeous! The dresses look more of a white/very light champagne than gold, though. Maybe my computer screen is showing colors off.

Hmm...I think you''re right. Sorry about that! Well, I still think that gold dresses with black sashes will be gorgeous for your wedding. (Honestly, though, you can''t go wrong with any of those combos.)

I vote gold with black sash. I love the dresses!

another vote here for gold dress with black sash, i love it. very very pretty.

ditto!!! I just went through the same issue!!! fuschia dress with black sash or black dress with fuschia sash, lol. I made a decision and went with the black dress with fuschia sash...couldnt be happier. BTW, I''m having a springtime wedding as well. You cant go wrond with the black dress, champaigne sash...it''s going to look very beautiful & classy and remember YOU want to stand out!!!! Thats part of what made my decision.....you want to be the POP!!! Good luck, let us know what you decide!!
