WTH?? I'm so confused. I'm pretty sure POSITIVE IDJ sizes rings. Maybe they're giving you a deal on a stock setting? Talk to someone else. Ask them what they'd charge to size it. That's crazy!

Oh "once you decide to keep it" I think they mean that it will be a final sale if they re-size it. I mean, I doubt that OP will be returning it, I am not sure if it will be worth the shipping costs. I would email them directly and request clarification. This is not typical of them .

I didn't realize the OP already had the band... if so, then it makes sense.

I'll have to get it resized locally which has thrown me off as I have read about resizing creating weak spots etc.

Resizing shouldn't be an issue with that ring. If you're sizing up, just make sure they add gold and don't just "stretch" it.

Is it full eternity? If it is half or something, with a plain shank at the bottom, then maybe it could be sized locally. But if the design is all the way around, it would be a major mistake to have anyone else size it. And in fact, if IDJ doesn't send it in the right size at the outset, I'd start over, elsewhere. Someone like DK can make that band for you in your exact size. I would leave a little sizing area in case in the future you need to size it.

I wouldnt worry too much about the melee color in stones that small. You really can't tell the color in that size.

I would not be concerned about the Blue J being next to a band with G colored meleè, especially in that size! Here is a pic of a J without flouro next to a Tiffany band, I believe they use F/G.



If you ask them for a lower color meleè, I would stick with H/I, but honestly, in that size they will all look very similar.

ID jewellery sent me a video of the band with a J stone which is very helpful. They said their opinion is that I should get the F/G melee but they will do what I want. Obviously this stone is much larger than mine so will show more colour - but I think this colour difference would bother me. Thoughts?

I do think that the J with flouro will show up whiter than this stone and the color difference will be less obvious in my view. However, if you think that the color difference will bother you, then just upgrade the band to H. What would be the price difference?

Apparently no matter the melee colour the price will be the same.

Oh great! Then I would knock the color down to about H, or H/I "ps quality" meleè if they can do that.
P.S. The band is seriously gorgeous!
