I posted awhile back about the search: I am looking for a nice 1.5-1.75ct RB pendant for my wife. Originally, I was looking at something J-K color from Whiteflash, but I recently noticed that Brian Gavin now has a line of "warmer" Cape diamonds. What do you think of something like this for a pendant? She doesn't mind a bit of warmth; cut is by far the most important criteria for her, and the Cape series (M color) allows me to get into something a bit larger for the price than I can get out of, say a K color from Whiteflash. I really want to stick with an ideal of super ideal, if at all possible. I was looking at a 1.7ct from Whiteflash, K color, but at $9700, I could get something close in size from BG (M color) and put the extra $3k toward the other 1/2 of the gift (diamond stud earrings). Thoughts? I haven't seen an ideal "M" in person, but it looks to have just a hint of warmth face-up, but definitely not post-it yellow. I bet it looks gorgeous. She is blonde (German family) but with slightly darker olive skin tone and green eyes.
Her engagement ring is a 3.02 ct J AGS ideal; it faces up quite white and very bright.
