Hello PS,
I recently purchased a 1.5 CBI and would like to take a moment to thank the PS community and High Performance Diamonds. HPD has been nothing short of exceptional, which is why I wholeheartedly recommend Melissa, Wink, and Jamie at High Performance Diamonds (HPD).
From the wealth of knowledge here on PS, I knew cut was going to be the most important factor, and HPD only offers the best cut diamonds. After many emails, phone calls, videos, pictures, and even more videos, Melissa was always patient and helpful- I didn’t get that corporate marketed feeling or pressure.
When I first saw a CBI, it was truly one of the shiniest things I had ever seen. It is difficult to describe but to put it simply - there was more bright spots on the CBI compared to the GIA. The facets on the CBI were sharper and had more scintillation. The contrast on the CBI was either a deep black or a clear bright white. When I compared fire between the two, the GIA is almost a random sporadic rainbow that shines outwards but the CBI looked like a more calculated positioning of rainbows and the burst were larger. I think this is the best description I can offer- otherwise you truly have to see it in person!
At the end of my journey, I went with HPD for multiple reasons: Being able to give my fiancé one of the world’s shiniest stone, the overall bonus package they were able to offer (100% lifetime upgrade and 80% lifetime buy back), superior service, and humble and down to earth boutique experience.
