princesss's dream vacation thread got me thinking of the places I've been and the places I still need to visit. I know we have a ton of well-traveled PSers here, so I thought it would be fun to see where everyone has been!

Which countries have you visited? And which one was your favorite?

Born in Vienna, Austria: went back in my 20s for a sight-seeing trip
Went to the south of France on a summer trip after my first year of grad school to stay with a friend
London, England for two weeks to stay with another friend
Venice, Italy as a graduation gift from my then-fiance, now husband, after which we hit Sweden so I could meet his family, and then back to London, because by then I loved it so (England is totally the winner as "fave," btw)
Rome and Florence last summer (okay, tied with Italy)
Paris, France this winter
Side-trips to Mexico and Canada for professional reasons

Conclusion: not nearly enough places as yet!

For my favorite it is a toss up between Mexico and Spain. I didn't do the typical vacation spot in Mexico (Cancun?) I went to D.F. and then took a ride to neighboring cities through the mountains. The people were amazing, the food was delicious, an I'm still in search for a tamarind margarita

Spain was more about the scenery for me. Believe it or not I hated the food. But I loved walking around and taking it all in. Would go back in a heartbeat.

USVI and BVI (ten days--I know the USVI are *technically* a part of the US, and the BVI are British, but they're so exotic I think they count!)

I think that's it so far, but I plan to add lots more to the list as time goes on. We're going to Belgium and Switzerland this summer, and Italy in the summer of 2012. I wish I could have spent more time in many of the places I've already visited, to be honest. Here's to long trips!

I grew up there, pretty much - loved it, missed it SO much when we first moved to the US! I've only been back to visit a couple of times - hopefully I'll be able to take DH with me next time, in a couple of years


I can't *wait* to go to Iceland!! I'll def be asking for experiences on here when we get around to it. We were going to go for our honeymoon actually, but then the volcano blew up all our plans

We have some well-traveled PSers - how awesome! I need to get ex-BF on this thread - I think he's got to be at over two dozen by this point.

As for me... not that many compared to you guys! I was an Air Force brat so we moved all over, but mostly in the US (Washington, Arizona, Texas, Hawaii, Florida, Montana), and then moved around in the US for school (Boston, Chicago, NYC).

I've lived in:

Korea - Pusan
Spain - Madrid
Japan - Tokyo

Visited:

Mexico - Cancun/Playa del Carmen
New Zealand - all over the South Island - did a two week circuit starting and ending in Christchurch
Costa Rica - all over, from San Jose to Arenal to Monteverde to the Nicoya Peninsula
