based on your #s, it should be a well performing diamond. Hard to ensure just from #s alone though.

Thanks for the reply, Happy! I am having issues figuring out this forum, ill try to get it moved. Im wondering whats the meaning is if the hca is less than one? There is a disclaimer that states scores less than one are better for pendants and earrings, not rings. Theres no reason given....and i want to know if it matters. Either way i cant wait to see it!!!

From under the HCA chart:

"Shallower stones, in the lower red areas of the chart, will look darker when viewed from close up. They are not as good for rings. Shallow stones have a bigger spread and can be great for pendants and earrings that are not usually viewed from very close proximity (a close observers head obstructs light sources). "

Your diamond is not a relatively shallow cut (depth is very normal & angles as well - as the label TIC 'Tolkowsky Ideal Cut' tells), so the comment does not apply... I think.

There is a LONG story somewhere on this forum about the matter of the 'best for earrings' cut. A search among the posts of @Garry H (Cut Nut) might bring it up.

Under 2 means it's a diamond worth pursuing further. An idealscope and ASET would seal the deal. Any chance you can get those?

Thank you for the input Valeria! That makes sense, and makes me feel better, until i get to see it. Im just rethinking bc i have such a long wait...i bought this last week, but bc its in india and they have having a festival, it wont mail out until next week! :(sad My currrent stone is a shallow cut (gia very good), yet it scores a 1.4...go figure!

No, Happy, theres no idealscope or aset....i was sent a heart and arrows image, but the hearts look better than the arrows in that...but im not that diamond savvy, so i could b wrong.
